This morning after breakfast, we headed back to love on Hux. We are noticing that he sleeps a lot! We played with other kids and babies and when he woke up around 10am, we got to spend a couple more hours with him. Have I mentioned how amazing he is??!
Afternoon was spent resting and then completely rearranging our room and getting settled in for the next several weeks. We feel like we have such a grace for this season. We have hired a driver for the next month so that we can be flexible to visit Hux, check out some of our projects, visit ministry partners and get lay some ground work for our July and October teams. I (Caleb) will be going to Awassa and Shone later this week with some of our contacts.
Today, we followed up and found out that our agency's home office hadn't ever sent over our updated home study which caused the delay in our approval at court. To say that we weren't frustrated would not be true, it was difficult for us to process how such a vital report was missed. But we are reminded, that we are walking in God's favor and timing and we trust Him. We know that the staff here are working very hard to get this resolved and we hope that by some miracle, it will be ready for us to take to MOWYCA ministry office by Wednesday.
